Parallel 45 Theatre shares our nation’s concern about the outbreak and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We stand in solidarity with the recommendations of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the CDC, and our host venues. To protect the safety and well-being of our artists and patrons, we are postponing our Spring Reading Series performances until further notice. See below for details. We will make every effort to reschedule, and will update you as the situation evolves. Thank you so much for your understanding. We are thankful to our community for coming together with compassion and concern for the common good.

INTERLOCHEN | P45 RESIDENCY

POSTPONED March 12-14, 2020 at Interlochen Center for the Arts

Parallel 45 Theatre and Interlochen Center for the Arts embark on an official partnership this spring, bringing two artistic powerhouses together to provide cutting-edge theatre to northwest Michigan. This partnership carves out a full-time, dedicated residency for professional directors and theatre-makers to create new material for Parallel 45 utilizing Interlochen’s extraordinarily talented theatre students. In the spring of 2020, P45 artist, Shelby Lewis (A Christmas Carol in Prose, Alice in Wonderland, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged), will devise a new production based on L.M. Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables". In this production, devised by students at Interlochen Center for the Arts, the classic novel of Anne of Green Gables will be transformed into an abstract exploration of the beloved story and its iconic characters for a contemporary audience.
